Haven't heard the others but the Equator Q-series is exceptionally good. I've used the Q12 on a recent project and it's nearly on par with the ADAM Audio S-series on its own so far as power response is concerned. The Q12's compression driver is capable of higher SPL than the ADAM X-ART ridiculously-low-distortion-high-output-near-perfect-power-response HF driver; however, the Equator DSP and room compensation is what truly sets it apart.
What's immediately apparent is that the sweet spot and precise imaging is much broader than you would normally expect from a coaxial horn-down-the-middle monitor. What's more, listeners not at the mixing position hear essentially the same spectral balance as the engineer.
DSP is still in its infancy and with the increased computing power and falling price and the long overdue interest in optimising monitor/room interaction/even power response, I reckon that nearly all control monitors will incorporate DSP quite soon.
There is no comparison to the 604/605s -- that said, I'm still using UREI 811s (604-8G/8K) but utilising Audyssey XT DSP. Not optimum but a workable compromise until I upgrade (if ever).
What's interesting that it was Ted Keffalo's experience with UREI 813s that initiated this project; you can consider this a nod to the merits of the original Duplex design.
